Work outside of comics: Illustration, Print and Web Design

First introduction to comics: As a kid I had Archie's and Harvey Comics (CASPER, HOT STUFF, DOT) around as far back as I can remember. When I was a little older, a neighbor brought some of her son's comics over for me to read when I was sick and I got hooked on DC super heroes. Then I abandoned those and rediscovered comics in college when I began reading LOVE AND ROCKETS, Lynda Barry and other alternative stuff.

Most influential comics/creators on your life or career: Comics by Jaime Hernandez, Dan Clowes, Richard Sala, Lynda Barry, Charles Burns and Steven Weissman to name a few. On a more personal level, my cartoonist friends Tom Hart, Leela Corman, Dave Kiersh, Dan Moynihan, Jef Czekaj and David Kelly.

All time favorite comics: LOVE AND ROCKETS.

How do you spend your time when not working on comics? Freelance design work and illustration. Other than work and comics, any other free time is spent with my band SpoilSport.

Favorite (LGBT) character(s) in any media: Maggie from LOVE AND ROCKETS

One person you'd like to meet: Jane Wiedlin.

Last good movie you saw: THE MAN WHO WASN'T THERE.
