Favorite personal project to date: My ongoing webcomic.

Work outside of comics: I write short stories and sing in a folk band.

First introduction to comics: As a child, of course, through the regular Disney stuff. Spiderman and the likes didn't interest me as a kid, but I'm catching up now!

Most influential comics/creators on your life or career: Kelly Barrie, creator of Arcana, made me see that I too could make a terrific comic if I did it online. Before that, I had thought that I didn't have enough resources.

All time favorite comics: My current favorite is Demonology 101. Comés, Bézian and Prado stuff, Hellraiser, Sandman are past favorites.

How do you spend your time when not working on comics? Schoolwork (I study writing), role-playing games, cooking.

Favorite (LGBT) character(s) in any media: Has to be Vincent from Arcana.

Last good movie you saw: AS GOOD AS IT GETS.

Last good book you read: Virginia Woolf's A ROOM OF ONE'S OWN.

CDs you're listening to now: Ed Harcourt's FROM OUTER SPHERE, Bowie's ZIGGY STARDUST.

What aspect of the comics medium draws you to work in it? The combination of drawing and writing.

Does your queerness impact your work? Definitely. If I was straight I wouldn't be able to describe gay life so well.

What advice do you have for aspiring comics creators? Trust your instincts.
