CREATORS

SHARON CHO

First pro work: "Ever hear of "WITHIN OUR REACH"? It was a joint charity effort by Marvel, DC, Dark Horse (I think) and Star*Reach Productions (for whom I was working at that time) for AmFar and the Redwood Conservation. It was a short 4-pager with Eric Shanower who became my hero then, because he said yes to this unknown fan-girl who shyly (trust me, the shyness doesn't happen often) asked if he would contribute and draw my story."

Dream project: "Finishing my novel about a woman who gains an erratic power of persuasion through her voice and living with the consequenses of ego and mouthing off."

Favorite project of your own: "Nobody, by Oni Press."

First comics ever read: "Can't remember. Too long ago. Getting senile and killed too many brain cells. Seriously, though, my sister and I received about 4-5 stacks of hand-me-down comics from the late 50's and early 60's. With that many, I really don't remember the first one."

Favorite comic of all time: "HellBlazer - the storyline where he maneuvers the 3 lords of Hell to make sure he stays alive."

Comics currently read: Promethea

One person you'd like to meet: "Aaron Sorkin, writer/creator of SportsNight and West Wing."

Last good movie you saw: "The Opposite of Sex - Don't go to movies much."

Last good book you read: "The entire Harry Potter series."

Wonder Woman or Xena: "Xena, most definitely. WW was never a hero for me, much too goody-good and straight. Xena - love her toughness and love her soft soft for Gabrielle."

Celebrity you would have for a night: "Renee O'Connor - Gabrielle on Xena. Those abs, that new short haircut, that smile, those twinkling eyes. If I'm extra good this year, Santa, can I have her, pleeeease????"

Favorite gay character: "Marcus, in Nobody, based on my best friend Mark."
