    You’re right, James. The idea came to me last Friday as I was traveling to Chicago, but only got around to posting it this morning. At Saturday’s DCU panel at C2E2 I contemplated asking story editor Ian Sattler where the originality was in JMS’ plans, but 200 or so fan boys (and some fan girls) was intimidating. Plus, at this point it’s a done deal, and my question would probably have gotten a pat answer.

    Maybe the book needs a female editor again. Everyone rightly praises Perez for the reinvention, but Karen Berger was the editor on the book, and for some time after he left. There was another woman editing around 2001 or so but just for a brief period.
