The New York Daily News and the UK’s Daily Mail are reporting the death of Perry Moore, executive producer of The Chronicles of Narnia. Moore is also the author of the young adult novel Hero, featuring a teenaged Thom Creed coming to terms with being gay and having superpowers.

I loved this guy. I loved the way he rattled people at Comic Con in 2009. He felt like gay people should be treated better in comics and refused to back down and kiss “celebrity” ass. It saddened me to see all the finger-wagging gay people who acted like a “concerned mothers” group, disapproving of Perry’s behavior.
Obviously, the guy had some demons. But he was one of us. And he had fire. I’ll miss that.
Robert,
The first thought I had this morning after learning of Moore’s death was of you. Your appreciation of Moore is a quality I just automatically associate with him. Cage rattling is good. It’s just unfortunate that he won’t rattle cages any longer, along with everything else that won’t happen now.
Hugs to you, Robert.
Hugs to you, Joe. This is a reminder of how we have to value the family we’ve built in our live. Even if we don’t see them more than once a year.
